'Fallout 4' Release Date and Gameplay reviews: Will the Long Wait Be Over for the 4th Series? Find Out Right Here
Rumors surrounding the development of Fallout 4 have been circulating since Fallout 3's successful launch. It's been seven years and there is still no word from Bethesda Studios confirming even the development of the game.
Fallout 4 is rumored to be set in a, still, post-apocalyptic cyberpunk and retro-futuristic Boston. Other groups coming from the Fallout 3 are also rumored to return in the game. This is all according to a Reddit user named as GNR_Informant, who claims that he/she acquired details about the rumored fourth installation in the Fallout series.
With all the booming rumors and news about the anticipated game, Peter Hines, the vice president of Bethesda, said "Bethesda does not comment on any kind of rumors or speculations...you should ignore everything unless it comes from an official source/channel."
Bethesda is surely being vague and quiet about Fallout 4. Some sources say that if ever there is a Fallout 4 in development, it won't come into light this 2014 and maybe not even in 2015. The development team is still busy with its slated releases such as the big "The Evil Within" and "Battlecry".
Other sources also say that the reason why Bethesda is being quiet about the issue is that Bethesda passed the project over to Battle Studios. Although, there is still no word even about the passing issue.
Gaming conventions and events such as Gamescom 2014 and EGX 2014 were rumored to be the platforms where Bethesda was supposed to announce officially the development of the game. But, to no avail, there were no announcements made and no further sources came out with new details again.
All is not lost as Bethesda isn't denying the development of Fallout 4.
"This is not something we're going to do once and then go away and never do it again...when that will be or how long that will be god knows, but we acquired it specifically because we wanted to own it and develop it and work on it like we do with The Elder Scrolls" - Peter Hines
Fallout 4 fans can only hope for the better as Bethesda has the reputation for making long developments, but, in turn, releasing high-quality games.
