'Stalker' Spoilers, Casting, and Review: Will You Scream For Help
In the last part of the season's premiere of the "Stalker", there is a scene there where victims were screaming for help. Fans have claimed that they came about several minutes after a point where they yell the same thing on their screen. It was so thrilling!
"Stalker" is the newest procedural in the roots of "CSI", "Criminal Minds", and the "Law and Order". It comes from the great mind of Kevin Williamson, the man behind the "Scream", "Dawson's Creek", and "The Vampire Diaries".
However, as expected, this latest CBS drama was proven to be clichéd and trite along with the added cruel violence against women that did nothing but ending with an eye roll. To be fair, there is also a case where in a man-on-man stalking was shown last October 1 premiere episode. However, the stalker has not done any kind of violence against the target. In fact, the stalked was the one who gets the violence.
What else? In the opening sequence, there was a young woman who was stalked on the phone and was burned alive in the car. This was a reminiscent of the "Scream". Well, that scene was almost the same.
Just like from the crime where the "Stalker" gets its inspiration, it was scary and difficult to watch. This is one of the fans reactions when they tend to watch the episode. There may be some formal procedural concealing in the series, and stalking has an enough fascination to some viewers that they enjoyed exploring it. The discomfort starts in the first scene which could have filtered from "Halloween XXIII".
Maggie Q as Lt. Beth Davis, and Dylan McDermott (Detective Jack Larsen), the stars of "Stalker", who headed the LAPD's Threat Assessment Unit, also heads off the stalkers before they caught to be fatal. They are intelligent, talented, and one-of-a-kind actors. They were considered as the veterans of the movie.
The core casts includes Mariana Klaveno as Janice Lawrence, Elisabeth Röhm as Amanda Tate, Victor Rasuk as Ben Caldwell, the two detectives, and the district lawyer.
