Xperia E3 has just been launched in particular Asian market whereas another mid-range smartphone Xperia M2 was released in April. Those who are thinking of owning any one of them can check out the specification details stated below.

Hardware and Software Specification:  

Both the devices cannot be differentiated by judging on the hardware specifications alone. Both of them have similar hardware properties. They have Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with powerful Quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and moderate adreno 305 GPU. Each of them also shares 1GB of RAM. Xperia E3 is operated by android v4.4.2 KitKAt while Xperia M2 runs on andoid v4.3 Jelly Bean. M2 leads the internal memory storage having 8GB storage space while E3 trails with 4GB of internal storage. Both the models support 128GB micro SD card expansion.

Camera and Battery:

Xperia M2 again leads the camera department with 8MP rear facing camera that can record 1080p video at 30fps. The resolution of front camera sensor offers 3264 x 2448 pixels and the secondary camera performs poorly having VGA sensor. The same problem regarding secondary camera remains for the Xperia E3 too. The primary camera has only 5MP sensor and 2592 x 1944 pixels. So the camera department somehow lacks the attraction. The battery backup is moderate for the devices where E3 has 2330mAh battery, which offers talk time of 12 hours 20minwith 2G usage and 8H 41 mins with 3G usage. The M2 dual has 2300mAh battery capacity, which has talk time of 12hours for 3G usage.

Display and Resolution:

Sony Xperia E3 has display size of 4.5-inches with 480 x 854-pixel resolution, whereas M2 has bigger 4.5-inches display with 540 x 960-pixel resolution. Xperia M2 just beats the pixel density of E3 with 229ppi while E3 has 218ppi pixel density. Both the handsets have shatterproof glass protection. The display type varies for both of them. E3 ha IPS Capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors whereas M2 dual has TFT capacitive touchscreen display.
