The release date is said to be on 2016. It's a long wait, but let's just expect that Sony Pictures will deliver a quality movie more than what we expect to see.
From the very first day Sony Pictures confirmed that the movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer" will be having a part 2 there are people who are very excited about the comeback. However, not all of the people who heard about it are happy. It is either they are happy and contented with the first film of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" or they are scared that the second film won't be better than the first film.
Mike Flanagan was the writer of "I Know What You Did Last Summer." He also wrote as well as directed "Oculus" 2014. If you happened to watch Oculus then you know how good Mike Flanagan is. The star cast of the movie is Karen Gillan, the same person from "Guardian of the Galaxy" movie. Knowing that Guardians of the Galaxy got a gross income of $40 million from $12 million budget Gillan must be very good when portraying her character and she really knows what she is doing aside from the fact that the plot of the film is also excellent and box office.
"I Know What You Did Last Summer's" director is not yet release or confirmed. As of this moment no reports about it, but there are rumors that the director is really new and enterprising. There are also rumors that the director of the film is affordable but will never compromise the quality of the movie.
