News leaked on Eurogamer that the upcoming net device from Nintendo i.e. The Wii U GameCube controller according to how it has been developed is only compatible with Super smash Bros. according to an official report from Nintendo. "The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U is compatible with Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U specifically- it is not compatible with any Wii U Software," a Nintendo UK spokesperson has told Eurogamer.

"The adapter is also not compatible with Wii and we apologize for any confusion." The news has been received with a lot of bitterness as no one really expected the news as going according to an earlier listing of the adapter read that the adapter would be developed in a way that it would be compatible with all games that utilize the Wii Classic Controller and Classic Pro Controller, as well as the Wii U Pro Controller. Both of this statement have been retracted from the official listing.

The original listing read 'Nintendo's upcoming Wii U Game Cube controller Adapter will make the classic pad compatible with a range of games'- not just super Smash Bros.

According to Eurogamer news, following the released GameCube controller its product statement gives the guidelines and product description which states that the Controller will allow the usage of any title that supports the Wii U Pro Controller.

According to this statement that means that one can use the GameCube pad to control Mario Kart 8, New Super Mario Bros. U, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, Zelda: Wind Walker HD, Bayonetta 2 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze , among a list of many others.

"This Adapter will allow you to connect your GameCube controller to the Nintendo," the product description on Nintendo UK's site reads.

"Connect your GameCube controller to your Wii U console. Compatible with all games supported by the Wii U Pro Controller."

The Adapter is priced at 17.99 EUROS and can connect with 4 GameCube pads. And it is speculated to launch the same time as Super smash Bros. for Wii U on 5^th December.
