Samsung new flip phone - Rugby 4: Features, Specs, Price, Launch and Release Date
The world is round and the latest trend of fashion is also rewinding from the past. At least AT&T believes the concept as they have decided to bring back the flip phone from the dead. Their supernatural thought has really shocked everyone who heard this news.
The old Rugby 3, which was released in 2012 has been the last installment. But the heir is probably rising with the newcomer Rugby 4. The Rugby series has earned great reputation when the term durability comes. The carrier company AT&T has already published a video posting the Stress Test of Rugby 4. The oldish push to talk type phone will again be launched from the dead on Friday October 2014. The phone will meet military standards which guarantees the phones durability. Even it will have integrated compass and Wi-Fi system.
According to the carrier of the Rugby 4 AT&T has mentioned that the phone will have built in features to make enhanced push to talk service. The service runs on 4G HSPA+ network. The stereo loudspeaker allows to enhance sound level to deliver good frequency sounds even in noisy situation.
The battery life is pretty standard for a push to talk phone. It has 2,000mAh battery capacity, which will allow to last longer with heavy duty usage. The surprising news is the price. The phone will cost as much as the latest smartphones or even greater.
The outright purchase rate of the phone will be around $269.99 USD without contract and $99.99 USD for a two years of contract. The phone will be available both Internet and stores. This is a really bold and risky move by AT&T but their confidence level indicates different direction.
They are pretty hopeful about the success about the long outdated flip type of phone. Qualified business customers will be able to go for the $.99 contract. Nowadays the customers look for most upgraded features in budget phone while Rugby 4 possess only big budget but not configuration. Surely it is not a phone for the youth generation but then who will go for it? The question will be answered once the phone hits the market.
