Minority Report Release Date, Cast, News, Spoilers and more: Film to be featured in Read a Movie Series
One of the successful movies of the famous actor, Tom Cruise, Minority Report is soon to have its very own Minority Report TV show version. This hot drama project of Steven Spielberg's and Max Borenstein's had reportedly landed on Fox Network. This could be the start of Fox Network, once again, tackling futuristic drama and both fans and the production team have high hopes for this project.
Reported by Deadline, The Minority Report TV series is meant to be a sequel to the 2002 movie. The timeframe is set ten years after the PreCrime in Washington D.C. The lead star, one of the PreCogs struggles to return to ordinary living, but yet remains haunted by visions of the future. In search of peace and where to use his special gifts, he encounters a female detective who is relatively in a similar state, but instead of the future, she is haunted by her past.
In order to ensure that the Minority Report TV series will be made, Fox had arranged a million dollar penalty to the producers should it fail to pilot the show. Hence, we are more than sure that the series will indeed happen. It will be written by Borenstein with Amblin's Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank as executive producers.
Rumor has it that the show will have a female-lead instead, but there's no harm in hoping that we'll get to read a Tom Cruise news saying that he'll be leading the series. No Minority Report TV Show IMDB page had been set up for this upcoming series, but we'll look forward to it being made and filled with various film development updates.
