The Amazing Fantastic Four : The Desire of Dr. Reed Richards to Discover Evolution
"Fantastic Four" is a superhero film released in 2005 based on similar name's team in Marvel Comics. The film was released by 20th Century Fox and was directed by Tim Story. This 2005 film was the second live-action film to be released under the Fantastic Four series.
The main cast of "Fantastic Four" includes Ioan Gruffudd as Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards, Jessica Alba as Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Chris Evans as Human Torch/Johnny Story, Michael Chiklis as The Thing/Ben Grimm, and Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom/Dr. Victor von Doom.
Similar to other superhero films, the main characters in "Fantastic Four" possess superhuman powers. Mr. Fantastic has the ability to stretch his entire body similar to a rubber, Invisible Woman can generate impact-resistant force shields and has the ability to be invisible, Human Torch can surround himself in fire and can fly, and The Thing can turn into a rocklike mortal with superhuman durability and strength.
The main plot of the story revolves around the desire of Dr. Reed Richards to discover evolution thru the space's cosmic energy. He asked the help of his former classmate, Dr. Victor von Doom, to permit him access to his private space station in order to try out the effects of the biological sample of cloud's exposure.
Dr. von Doom agrees and he and Dr. Richards - along with astronaut Ben Grimm, genetics researcher Susan Storm and former astronaut Johnny Storm - they went on an expedition to the outer space in order to observe the clouds' cosmic energy. While at the outer space, Dr. Richards miscalculate and clouds appear prematurely.
Back home, they discovered that they had gained superhuman powers, but Dr. von Doom plots revenge to Dr. Richards due to his space mission's publicity. The primary mission of the Fantastic Four is to stop Dr. von Doom, now calling himself at Dr. Doom, from causing damage and harm to local people.
Since "Fantastic Four" is originally created by Marvel Comics, it has garnered a lot of publicity even before it was made into movie. Similar with other films based on Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, the co-creator of "Fantastic Four," made a cameo appearance on the 2005 film.
