We have the latest for you on the release, specs and latest updates of the Google Nexus 9 tablet. Google's next tablet, presumably Nexus 9, has been recently confirmed to be in the works by an NVIDIA legal filing. It is said that the tablet might be released before Apple releases their new iPad.
According to IBTimes, Google Nexus 9 is being manufactured by HTC and is expected to be released on 15th October. This is just a day before Apple launches their upcoming iPad. The report also says that the Google Nexus 9 will be in the retail shops from 3rd November so that the customers can buy the new tablet. There are rumors going around that the Nexus 9 tablet will cost $399 when it finally opens for retail purchasing. Although the technical specifications have not yet been confirmed, we can go by the earlier reports.
Nexus 9, which is said to go by the codename HTC Volantis, is said to have a 9-inch screen display and that it will be driven by the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor and will have 2 GB RAM. It is also rumored that it will have an 8MP rear camera and a 3MP front facing camera. The Nexus 9 is also expected to be sold commercially in two variants, 16 GB and 32 GB. The possibility of Nexus 9 coming in the latest Android version, Android L, cannot be ruled out. If the aspect goes official, the Nexus 9 will be unveiled running on Android L, which will definitely capture the attention of many.
According to PC Advisor, the Nexus tablet will come with a 2048 screen resolution and 281 ppi. Images of the upcoming Nexus 9 have leaked out and it is said to look similar to Nexus 7. The Nexus Logo at the back of the tablet looks the same as that of the Nexus 7. The rear cover also appears to be similar.
