"Snow White and the Huntsman": The Huntsman Replaces Snow White Fantasy Action Film in 2016
Two years ago, the fairy tale epic "Snow White and the Huntsman" quaked the big screen and made nearly $400 million at the global box office. "Snow White and the Huntsman" is a 2012 American dark fantasy action film, which is based on the German fairy tale "Snow White" compiled by the Brothers Grimm.
The members of the cast include Kristen Stewart as the beautiful Snow White, Charlize Theron as Snow White's evil stepmother Queen Ravenna, Chris Hemsworth as Eric the Huntsman, Sam Claflin as illiam son of Duke Hammond, and Bob Hoskins as Muir, the blind elder dwarf.
The film received two Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Costume Design at the eighty-fifth Academy Awards. The critics commended the production design and the enactment of Theron, Claflin, and Hemsworth. The performance by Stewart got mixed reviews. Fans are currently hoping for the sequel of the said film. However, there have been rumors that the film will not be having its sequel.
According to Cinemablend, the film production will be changing the path and will concentrate on the Huntsman, which is played by Chris Hemsworth. The Hunstman will serve as a prequel to the hit film and it will center on the adventures of Chris Hemsworth's character. It was revealed in Snow White and the Huntsman that he had a sorrowful backstory, since his wife was killed by wicked forces. The movie is set to be piloted by Frank Darabont, according to Slashfilm.
Meanwhile, Snow White is currently busy with her ongoing multiple projects, according to EOnline. Kirsten Stewart will only have a cameo appearance or none at all. Dropping Snow White could leave the title as "The Huntsman". More than that, there is no official confirmatory announcement yet with regard to the return of "Snow White and the Huntsman", together in big screen.
The upcoming film, "The Huntsman", is set to be released in theaters and cinemas on April 22, 2016. The film will be showing in April alongside with another Universal movie, "The Best Man Wedding". The release date is roughly two weeks before the premiere of the upcoming movies "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Captain America 3".
