iPod 6 Touch 6G Release Date, Reveals, News and Updates: Device to be Launched Alongside iPad Mini and iPad Air 2 this Month
For the fans of Apple products, there are recent reports saying that the iPod Touch 6G will be released on 16th October alongside other devices. The much awaited music/video player is expected to be launched alongside iPad Mini and iPad Air 2 this month. Apple has many devices in the manufacturing process which could be released before the end of this year. Some of these devices include the iPod Nano 8G, iPod touch 6, Apple Watch, iPad Mini 2014 and the larger iPhone 6 which will be operating on the new iOS 8. Meanwhile, the iPod touch 6G is expected to have some improvements including enhanced camera, a bigger screen and an improvement on the hardware. The upcoming Apple device is expected to come in different colors including pink, orange, red, light grey and dark grey.
According to BreatheCast, the iPod will have a 5.0-inch screen display with 1280 720 megapixels with 440 pixels per inch. Reports say that the device will have a 1.5-megapixel front facing camera and 30 fps. It will also have an 8-megapixel iSight camera at the back of the device. It will have several features including backside illumination, auto- focus, LED flash, face detection; five-element lens and hybrid IR filter. The upcoming device will be driven by the fast and powerful A6 dual-core processor with a speed of 1 GHz. It will be available in the 32GB and 64GB versions and it has been reported that it can even extend to the 128GB version.
More to that, the iPod touch 6G is speculated to also feature Near Field Communication (NFC) which will allow the iPod to share data between mobile devices securely. When it comes to the battery, the device has been rumored to feature an Organic Radical Battery (ORB) which the iPhone 6 currently has, which allows the iPod Touch to have a music playback time for up to 60 hours and 10 hours for video playing.
For the prices, the iPod Touch 4G 32 GB will sell at $249 while the iPod Touch 5G 32GB will cost $299 and the 64 GB version will go for $399. The iPod Touch 6G will cost the same as the iPod Touch 5G. Stay with us for more news.
