'Deadpool' Release Date Announced: Ryan Reynolds On Lead, Controversies and Spoilers
After the summer leakage of a "Deadpool" animated test footage, fans have been speculating that a "Deadpool" movie is coming up, Mstraz reports. Just this September, Fox finally gave the green light for the "Deadpool" movie starring Ryan Reynolds.
The Internet and comic book fans alike has been asking that a "Deadpool" movie be made, and it was a wish granted.
According to the rumors, the "Deadpool" movie will be released on Feb. 12, 2016. There is a catch though, as the movie will be rated PG-13, which means there would be less or even no bloody dismemberments, which a trademark in "Deadpool" comics.
Fans have expressed disappointment over the PG-13 rating. They were expecting the same violent Deadpool anti-hero as seen in his comics and even in the "Deadpool" video game released back in June of 2013.
Despite the PG-13 rating, the movie could still work. Movies like the "Transformers" franchise have lots of destruction and violence, yet it has a PG-13 rating.
In a news in Breathecast, the first time that "Deadpool" appeared was in Marvel's "X-men Origins: Wolverine" movie, in which the character was portrayed also by Ryan Reynolds. Moreover, before its rumored 2016 release, Deadpool will also appear in a cameo in the upcoming "X-Men Apocalypse" film.
Writer and Director Jeff Wadlow will lead the production of the much awaited "Deadpool" movie.
However, according to an interview with Ryan Reynolds himself, the upcoming "Deadpool" film will not be connected to the "Deadpool" that appeared in the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". There is also no confirmation yet about who will take on Deadpool's character in the movie. But, the leaked animated test footage featured Ryan Reynolds voice acting, which could mean that he will still be playing the role of "Deadpool".
But, according to Mstarz, writer and producer Simon Kinberg says that the upcoming "Deadpool" movie will be directly linked to the X-Men franchise movies. Fox is already building an X-Men cinematic universe and "Deadpool" is certainly a fit for the said universe.
There is no news either on whether the "Deadpool" that appeared in the Wolverine Origins movie will still be the same "Deadpool" that will appear in Apocalypse and in the standalone "Deadpool" movie.
