    Country music veteran Merle Haggard was laid to rest on Saturday (April 9). The funeral service was a private affair attended by family, friends and specially invited guests. Held at his ranch in Shasta County, California, the service was officiated by Haggard's friend Marty Stuart.

    GRAMMY® nominated rock band RED has received its second RIAA Gold Certification for its album End of Silence, which was the group's Essential Records debut. To celebrate the album's 10-year anniversary, RED will release a 10th Anniversary Edition on June 3, featuring two never-before-released songs as well as acoustic versions of some of the album's biggest songs. This release will be followed by an anniversary tour in the fall - more details to come.

    Country music artist Wade Bowen's brand new hymns album made an impressive debut on Billboard's Country Album chart when it debuts at #18. The album titled Then Sings My Soul: Songs for My Mother includes 12 timeless hymns and was produced by singer-songwriter and close friend of Bowen's, Sean McConnell, who has written tunes for artists including Scotty McCreery and Brothers Osborne. Tracks include well-known classics like "Amazing Grace," "In the Garden," and "How Great Thou Art."

    Cam Records "Here Comes the Sun" for the Faith-Based Movie "Miracles from Heaven"

    Country music artist Cam has recorded her own version of the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun." The newly recorded song is included in the soundtrack of the faith-based film Miracles From Heaven. The song was written by George Harrison and featured on the Beatles' 1969 album Abbey Road.
