Nexus 9 Reviews, Spoilers, Teasers, News, Specs and Updates: Built on 64 Bit Nvidia Tegra K1 Processor and Runs the New Android Lollipop
Google has announced the Nexus 9. This is an 8.9 inch tablet that will be one of the first devices to run on the new software update Android 5.0, which also happens to be Google largest mobile operating system as yet. The Nexus 9 is scheduled to launch on the 3rd of November, and there are pre orders now available from Google. The prices start at £319 in the UK while $ 399 in the US. According to the leaks on the Nexus tablet, it is going to come available is black, white and 'sand', which is just another color name for light brown.
The Nexus 9 is also going to come available with brushed metal sides rather than an entirely metal chassis. It is going to be powered using a 64 bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor which has been rumored to be better than Snapdragon used in most high end phones. On the back of the device, there is an 8 MP camera with LED flash and autofocus. The front camera sensor is a 1.6 MP (f/2.4). The Nexus 9 weighs in at 425 grams and measures about 153.68mm by 228.25mm by 7.95mm. The batter quality is one of the best in the market so far with a life of about nine hours while browsing web over Wi-Fi.
There is a magnetically attached keyboard which turns the Nexus 9 into a tablet/ laptop hybrid. Google claims this will help people get stuff done no matter where they are at the time. Google Nexus 9 is going up against a recently revitalized range of Apple products such as the iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and the iPod Touch 6G. As concerns specs reviews for both of the brands and the models involved, the Nexus 9 is not so much of a revolutionary. In fact it would be about the same as the iPad Air 2. However, the new OS offering places it a few steps above the rest for now.
