Bill 2015 British Movie Reveals, Rumors, Plot and Updates: Baynton, Martha Howe- Douglas, Ben Willbond, Simon Farnaby to Star in 2015 Movie
If ever there was a movie to watch out for in 2015 this would be it. Directed by Richard Bracewell for BBC Films, Punk Cinema and Cowboy films the movie is expected in theatres on February 20th, 2015. Bill joins the host of movies based on the life of Shakespeare most notably Anonymous and Shakespeare in Love. This time however it will take a totally different direction. With a screenplay was written by Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond who are notable British comedy writers, the movie received 1 million pounds from the British Film Fund early in production showing what good will the project has.
William was born in April of 1564 to John and Mary Shakespeare. At the age of 18 he married Anne Hathaway and a few months later she had twins. It is at this point that Shakespeare disappears from all records confusing scholars and historians alike. This period between 1585 and 1592 are referred to as the lost years and it is in this time that the movie is set. The movie is a fictionalized account of these lost years, it shows how this hopeless lute player leaves his home and family and winds up in London. The movie suggests that William (Bill) tries his hand at a whole number of things before he finally settles down and becomes the bard we have all come to love. The movie has murderous kings, a band, spies and even a plot to blow up Queen Elizabeth I.
The cast is interesting as it only has six people who will play all roles in the movie, except the extras of course. This includes Michael Baynton, Martha Howe- Douglas, Ben Willbond, Simon Farnaby, Jim Owick and Laurence Rickard. This troupe is the genius behind the children's show Horrible Histories. The movie began shooting in early 2014 with some scenes being shot at Shakespeare's Globe.
