New Orleans Pastor Dale Sanders Makes Billboard Top 50 With Single, You Win
The constants in the life of noted pastor, preacher, teacher, singer and songwriter Dale Jay Sanders have been the simple pleasures found in faith in God, the love of family and the beloved community that comprises the church. Born a PK (preacher's kid) and the youngest of 6 in the metropolitan area of New Orleans, his destiny was set beginning with the discovery of his burgeoning musical talents while singing in the church choir. That would serve as a catalyst to him following in his father's footsteps and answering the call to preach, delivering his first message at the age of twelve. Years spent at Southern University helped to shape and cultivate this innovative and creative thinker, preparing him for a life of dedicated service in the church that he loved and loved him back. Then, an unforgettable encounter with the unforeseen and never expected happened.
The younger Sanders watched in utter disbelief as the church that he considered an extension of his family turned on its patriarch; his father, Pastor Leroy Sanders, Sr. The actions of disgruntled members would lead to unsubstantiated claims of theft, an arrest and a grueling two-year court case. The results of their cruel actions would see the elder statesmen make a decision to walk away from two church campuses that he built with his own hands after some 4 decades of service.
Dale Sanders gives inexplicably authentic and accurate details of the events that comprised his father's life story and its impact on his own life in the new book Termites in the Church. Pastor Leroy Sanders, Sr. gathered his family, resting in the conviction of the faith he preached about for so many years, vowing to rise from the ashes as he walked in divine steps ordered by God. While the ordeal left the Sanders family scarred and battle weary, they were not without hope. The Lord spoke to Pastor Dale in the midst of the situation and from these moments, a distinct message, a song of personal testimony and overcoming grace was birthed in his spirit, You Win. Setting the message to music, a single was released and serviced to radio. In a short time, the soul stirring ballad has captured the hearts of the nation as the song has made its way into the Top 50 of the Billboard Gospel Radio chart.
Pastor Dale Sanders is currently in the studio working on music for his upcoming album as Termites in the Church is released at the end of May. A book tour commences in early June with dates scheduled in select cities across the South, Midwest and East Coast of the United States.
