"Glee" star, Lea Michele, has released a new 'in studio' performance video of her hit single, "Cannonball". The video, released last week, is a stripped down version from the album track, highlights a simple keyboard arrangement with her background singers on hand. The black and white video shows glimpses of the studio performance as well as behind the scenes shots from the studio.
Lea Michele's debut album Louder, released on March 4th from Columbia Records and Sony Music Entertainment. The LP sold over 62,000 copies in the U.S. in it's first week and peaked at No. 4 in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
Lea Michele released her first single and music video for her song "Cannonball" in December. In the December 2013 issue of Elle, Michele revealed that "You're Mine" is dedicated to Monteith, and shares that the song was a late addition to the album after his passing. "The album was done, and the label said, 'Do you want to add anything?' I was like, 'I might regret it if I don't,'" Michele shared. "It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think if him, I play this."
Lea Michele won the role of Rachel Berry on the FOX hit television show "Glee" and has been a part of the cast since the show's premiere on May 19, 2009. "Glee" is currently in Season 5 on FOX and they just celebrated their 100th last month (March 18). The hit show has added other popular pop singers this season to their cast including Demi Lovato and "American Idol" star Adam Lambert.
