Sophie Hudson Reveals Her Heart for Young Women in Her First Devotional Book
Popular author, speaker, and blogger Sophie Hudson is passionate about seeing teenage girls fall in love with Jesus and understand the unique way He designed them. In her first devotional, All in All: Loving God Wherever You Are (August 2017, B&H Publishing Group), Hudson combines her passion for girls' ministry and her appreciation for the role of devotionals in a believer's spiritual journey into a 100-day journaling devotional for young women.
All in All features devotions and journaling prompts that remind young women that Jesus is their All in All, written in Hudson's delightfully quirky, Southern style. Hudson describes the devotional as "an all-in-one devotional and diary, a place to read and be challenged and really process what the Lord is teaching you."
Hudson, author of Giddy Up, Eunice (April 2016, B&H Publishing Group), serves as Dean of Women at a Christian high school, where she helps teen girls navigate day-to-day issues such as conflict with friends, boys, decision-making, and school-related stress. Hudson says she carried Charles Swindoll's Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life as her devotional in college, but it has stayed with her in each season of life since then.
"Before I wrote the first word of what would eventually become All in All, I knew that I wanted to write a devotional book for young women - a keepsake that could travel with them through their teens and early 20s," Hudson said.
"I wanted to challenge and encourage them to invest in their relationship with Jesus as they cultivate and practice the discipline of spending time with Him (and in His Word) every single day. I pray that All in All will be an uplifting companion not only during the 100 days of devotions/journaling -but that young women will continue to come back to it as they grow in their walk with the Lord and remember His faithfulness in their lives."
