IMMERSE Conference 2014 Held in Nashville June 22-25
IMMERSE Conference 2014, the Gospel Music Association's music training experience, is less than a month away coming up June 22-25 in Nashville,TN. IMMERSE is quickly becoming the defining event for emerging artists, songwriters and worship leaders. The event features reVIEWyou, a unique competition, designed to mentor new talent and provide participants with unparalleled prizes. In addition, the conference has recently expanded its training with the help of LifeWay Christian Resources to include a worship leader track.
LifeWay Christian Resources is partnering with IMMERSE this year for the addition of worship leader training. These sessions will work in tandem with the songwriter, artist and professional tracks to educate, encourage and inspire worship leaders directly.
In:cite recording artist Travis Cottrell will kick off the event by hosting a Sunday evening service sure to inspire and encourage all who attend. Also, Ed Stetzer, the President of LifeWay Research, host of The Exchange, contributing editor of Christianity Today and columnist for Outreach Magazine, has been confirmed as a morning keynote speaker.
"Part of our dream for IMMERSE is that it will serve not only artists but the church as a whole. This worship track will enable us to give incredible training and resources not only people who are hoping to serve the Lord though music on a national scale but also to church leaders on a local scale as well," says Jackie Patillo, Executive Director of the Gospel Music Association.
The reVIEWyou program continues to grow as a premiere opportunity to receive genuine feedback from top Christian music industry coaches. Created to develop and provide a platform for undiscovered talent, reVIEWyou provides individualized assessments, personalized evaluations and feedback, and the opportunity for talent to showcase in front of top songwriters, managers, publishing and industry executives.
Prizes include a performance at NIGHT OF JOY at Walt Disney World, as well as a taping of a 30-minute episode of JUCE TV's hit show 1 MUSIC DRIVE. Awarded by a panel of judges at the competition, these two performances will be given to the top performer of the event, regardless of category.
