Ryan Adams New Single 'Gimme Something Good' Coming Along with New Album Later in 2014
Ryan Adams Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams will be releasing new music later this year. There will be a new single titled, 'Gimme Something Good' and a song called "I Just Might" that could come out on a A & B side 7-inch. The 7-inch could be available as early as July 1st. A full length album would come later in the year.
Adams last solo material was released with 2011's 'Ashes & Fire' LP. Ryan Adams is also set to appear at a few festivals this summer, including Newport Folk and Xponential.
Adams has also been working with Jenny Lewis co-producing her new album 'The Voyager' with Beck and Lewis' partner Jonathan Rice. The album will be available in the UK on July 28.
Adams also recently worked with Fall Out Boy on their hardcore-inspired 'Pax Am Days' record. The eight-track punk album was available as a standalone digital release and as part of a limited edition reissue of their 2013 LP 'Save Rock and Roll'. The record was recorded at Adams' Pax Am studio in Hollywood over the course of two days.
Ryan Adams is one of the most unique songwriters of the last 15 years and whether or not you enjoy his music personally, he is widely acclaimed for his songwriting abilities.
Adams started as a member of the band Whiskeytown, with whom he recorded three studio albums. In 2000, Adams left Whiskeytown and released his first solo album, Heartbreaker, to critical acclaim. In 2001, Adams released the UK certified-gold Gold, which included the hit single, "New York, New York".
He released five albums with the rock band The Cardinals and in 2009 Adams married singer-songwriter and actress Mandy Moore. Adams left The Cardinals and announced that he was taking a break from music. He resumed performing in October 2010 and released his thirteenth studio album, Ashes & Fire, on October 11, 2011. The album peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
