“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” Movie Spoilers - Jessica Alba Reprises Her Role as Nancy Callahan
Dimension Films has confirmed that "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" will hit the theater screens on August 22, 2014. Robert Rodriguez will once again be co-director with "Sin City" creator Frank Miller.
Original cast members Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, and Powers Booth will return to reprise their old roles in the first movie. Newcomers will include Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Jaime Chung, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Heysbert, Marton Csokas, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacey Keach, Christopher Meloni, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven, and Crystal McCahill. Eva Green will be playing "Ava", the "Dame" in the movie title.
According to Miller, the forthcoming movie will primarily be an adaptation of his book "A Dame to Kill For." It will also feature his short story "Just Another Saturday Night" along with two new original stories - "The Long Bad Night" and "The Fat Loss." As with the first "Sin City" movie, the new film adaptation of his graphic novels will have a multi-storyline structure. It will be both a prequel and a sequel to the stories shown in the first "Sin City" movie. For instance, the story of "A Dame to Kill For" is set years before "The Big Fat Kill" events happened. On the other hand, "The Fat Loss" takes place after "John Hartigan's" suicide in the earlier shown "That Yellow Bastard."
For spoilers, in "The Fat Loss" segment of the story, Jessica Alba will reprise her role as "Nancy Callahan," the stripper. However, this time around, she's decided she won't be a victim anymore. She'll go crazy! According to Rodriguez, "You see a little girl in that first film. By the end of this (second film), she's the avenging angel."
