Integrity Music Releases ICF Worship's Debby Sita's Posthumous Album
Integrity Music has just released the posthumous new album of ICF worship leader Debby Sita's album Hold My Heart. Sita went home to Jesus at the age of 35 after a long battle with cancer. Though the weight of loss is still heavy on all of our hearts, we are spurred on by hope and inspiration at what Debora "Debby" Sita left behind.A year on, we commemorate her beautiful soul, humble heart and musical gift which all point in the same direction: her passion to worship Jesus.
On the anniversary of her passing, a very special project is being released: Debby Sita's first (never intended) solo album and last musical offering, Hold My Heart. This album is a symphony of hope, a collection of modern-day Psalms that beautifully glorify the God of Life in the valley of the shadows of death.
Debora recorded these songs on her mobile phone from her sick bed, not knowing they would make it on to an album one day. In the midst of tremendous pain and heartbreak, she journeyed the road to an imminent death with remarkable dignity and an unwavering faith. The songs on Hold My Heart are an honest representation of the role model she was on how to love Jesus into eternity.
After beating cancer for the first time in 2012, Debora and her family faced the news that it was back in 2018. Philipp, her husband and father of their young son, Judah, shares that during her last year "Debby often wrestled with Jesus, praying and pouring her heart to Him... but through it all, she always knew He would never leave her side."
Debby Sita's short life on earth is a reminder of what matters most. Despite the circumstances and suffering we face, worship is always a choice we can make. It is what gets us, as frail human beings, through the peaks and troughs of life. Worship is what leads us home.
