Blacklist Season 1: More and More Surprises are Coming to Light with Every Tick on the List
Blacklist hit the screens last year on NBC and had everyone hooked with its first episode. It is with no doubt that its fans wanted more after seeing how dramatic its first episode was and honestly I have to admit that it did get my attention on the first 10 seconds of the episode.
With the first episode having one of the most wanted terrorists by the US government hand himself in like a Christmas present to the FBI makes you wonder why the hell Reddington (James Spader) would want to do so knowing that he is one of the most wanted criminals in the country. Honestly, that part had me interested and I couldn't wait to see what happens next.
The Producer did do a good job with this series and now that the first season is over we await eagerly for the second season.
The first season ends with a bit of a tousle. Keeping in mind the twists and turns of the this first season we wonder if the second season will be as dramatic and full of surprises like the first one. Reddington kept us guessing on why he insisted on using Agent Elizabeth Keene. While Red hands himself to the FBI, Elizabeth gets ready to go to work on her first day and is super surprised when the FBI come to get her with helicopters and almost every FBI car they have. Talk of a first day at work. It is crazy and we can't help but wonder why he insists of only talking to Agent Liz.
We later come to realize that Liz was Reddington's daughter but he gave her up to his friend to raise her as a way to protect her from his dangerous lifestyle. That was one hell of a twist in the season but then it did help us understand why he wanted only her to handle his cases with the handing in of the most wanted criminals in the world to the FBI from his list hence the title "Blacklist".
There was also the surprising part where Agent Liz finds a hole under her home carpet and she finds a box with multiple passports with photos of her loving husband, a gun and some money. Now, this did make us wonder who her husband really is. Is he an undercover agent? Or is he a terrorist? And if so it only meant that he had been pretending to be someone he is not over the years and she did not realize it.
Well the good thing is that it has gotten a second season and we can only wait and see what they have to offer.
