Michael Dixon Sets the Gospel to Music with "The Original"
Grammy nominated songwriter, singer, vocal arranger, background vocalist and producer Michael Dixon has released a brand new EP entitled The Original. The EP features three tracks, including "The Original," "Make a Way," and "Keeper." The new album offers the listener the good news in an unconventional musical way.
The title track "The Original" is an upbeat vibrant track that mixes musical imagination with potent lyrical presentation. The beautiful chaos on "Make A Way" featuring Nakitta Foxx (member of the acclaimed Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers) and emerging vocalist Tatiana Barnett will transport you back to the 60s when music had a little get up and dance about it. "Keeper" is a rousing ballad that has become a Michael Dixon signature. The song is a reflecting of what the world has experienced since 2020.
An overcomer who's experienced losing his hearing in both ears due to an ear infection in 2012, which left him deaf for two years - Michael is grateful. As seen on Jamie Fox's hosted Beat Shazam, Michael Dixon got his start in the music industry professionally by doing studio background vocals, which developed into live background singing, working with an array of artist spanning across genres including Yolanda Adams, Chris Tomlin, Lady Gaga, Reba McIntyre and Lyle Lovett to name a few and has written for Grammy-nominated artist Gene Moore. Healso serves as one of the Worship Leaders at The Luke Church in Humble, TX.
