The 'Amazing Spider Man 3' Release Date Pushed Back to 2018, While Sinister 6 to Debut in 2016
Apparently the second installment of the Amazing Spiderman was not as much of a success as it was originally thought to be by director Mark Webb. It is reported that Sony spent a little over 250 million dollars in hopes that the sequel would be just as well received as the first movie which reportedly grossed somewhere in the neighborhood of 758 million dollars globally. The first movie cost less to make yet the second one only managed to gross about 706 million at the box office. Similarly, the market research on public opinion about the second movie was a bit 50-50. It is probably because of this that the release date for the third installment of the amazing Spiderman has been delayed.
In its place for the 2016 release, Sony will bring Uncharted, the game movie to the screen. The release date for the Amazing Spiderman 3 is slated for 2018. This will give Sony a bit of time on how to go about marketing so that people are clearly geared up for the movie. Plus it will give a little relief from Spiderman fatigue that may in fact be developing in the movie realm. At the same time, there will be a spinoff movie which has been specifically made for the franchise and takes the pressure of the 2018 release luckily enough. The spinoff movie will be the sinister 6, whose plot had been hinted towards the end of the amazing Spiderman 2. This film is supposed to expand the Spiderman universe to include more threats and villains who have personal vendettas against the superhero and New York as a whole.
The sinister 6 is to premiere in November 2016 Drew Goddard, who did Cabin in the Woods, will be the director for this flick. The sinister 6 are supposed to include Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, Sandman and Vulture. The Spinoff should bring together these villains with differences together and may prove to be more than Spiderman can handle. However, the advantage is that he does not have a love interest with this installment to lose decreasing his risk and making him more emotionally stable to tackle anything. The plot for the Amazing Spiderman 3 is no yet out but it should be chock full of action bouncing of from the Sinister 6.
