The Mentalist Season 7: CBS Fails to Feature Seventh Installment of Series in the Fall Lineup and Josie Loren joins Cast

The final season of the Mentalist has fans all a buzz even though the release date for the final installment has not yet been divulged. The interesting thing is that the series has not yet been featured as part of the line up on CBS for the fall, but that could possibly just mean that it will premiere sometime in December or even early parts of 2015. So the Patrick Jane fans need not to worry as the production is still going on and even some new roles have been cast as the latest rumor on the latest installment is that Josie Loren is set to join the cast.

Anticipation is at its maximum as the rumors claiming it is the final season have been shared by news magazines, however, show creator Bruno Heller is keeping mysterious about it. He claimed that the season is meant to be an encore, which is to say that everyone will leave happy. Not much of a hint but it could mean the end to the Patrick Jane show.  Josie Loren will be playing the studios yet ambitious Michelle Vega who is a new recruit and expert in field craft and combat. Apparently, she will come on the scene knowing nothing of Patrick Jane or about the methods that he uses. Imagine that clash when, she herself is a by the books, teacher's pet that just wants to go higher up the ranks. Their conflict bight cause something of a stir between her and Jane and it is not clear whether the relationship will be purely business.

On the other hand, more on the couple Jane and Lisbon, the first episode of the season will be titled "Orange Blossom Ice Cream". This could be a hint about the two going out on a date since they both love their ice cream. That would present a calm setting where their feelings could gain speed since they have spent a lot of time hunting killers. According to Heller, the season presents an opportune time to bring appropriate closure for their relationship.
