Sony VAIO Pro 13' Haswell Processor, Exceptional Battery Life: Super Light Laptop with High Density Specs
Usually Haswell machines live up to better expectations than other laptops and the Sony VAIO pro does not disappoint. One of the main perks that the Sony VAIO pro offers is exceptionally long battery life. It fact the device can manage about 8 hours before shutting down on a fully charged 37Wh battery. This can also be extended to an external sheet battery which will in turn increase the battery life two fold. So yes, that would mean that it can run from the time the user wakes up to the time they go to bed without charging if using the latter option. It is quite light weighing in at only Super light at 2.34 lbs with a really fast SSD Drive and boots up quite nicely promising to launch apps at lightning speed.
It is quite lighter and yet more powerful than other machines that are in the same weight class. In comparison the MacBook Pro 13 inches, weighs about 3.46 pounds while the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro comes in at 3.06 pounds. The reason why the Sony VAIO Pro has such an awesome battery life is because of Intel's Haswell ULT processors that are available in this model. They allows for quicker transition in and out of the states while providing blower TDP's. There is also an integrated voltage regulator that is available with the model. According to Anandtech, Sony has optimized the firmware and the impact of the Intel processors which benefits the mobility front.
The Sony VAIO Pro comes with a 1080P IPS display and a very adaptable and comfortable keyboard. There is only one hitch on the machine according to a critique by Anandtech that press dragging items with the touchpad on the laptop is quite difficult, however, the same problem occurs in just about every other machine out there. Other specs of the Sony VAIO Pro 13' include 8 GB internal RAM as default, 512GB SSD, running on 64 bit system of course.
