2014 MacBook Air Versus MacBook Pro: MacBook Pro Excels In Display and Memory While Air Beats It in Portability

Both of the models have been exhibited as the showcase laptop models fighting against the Ultrabooks with increase in spec upgrades from Apple as well as a price decrease for both of the models considering the spec upgrades. By the way, we are talking about the 13' versions of the models; we are the default, as the other versions may be discussed in-depth later on. Display: the MacBook Pro 2014 has the upper hand on the MacBook air considering that it has a resolution of about 2560 x 1600 pixels overpowering the MacBook air which has quite a mediocre resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels by 2014 standards. However, when it comes to portability, the clear winner is the MacBook Air. The Air is probably the smallest or rather lightest Apple Laptop for the high end market weighing in at 1.08 kg while the MacBook Pro is 1.57 kg.

Graphics and software: there are integrated graphics on the MacBook Pro which is of higher case value than the Intel HD Graphics 5000 which is apparently found in the MacBook Air. As for the software used in the models, they are currently running on the largest operating system by Mac, the OS X Mavericks, though there will probably a new system; Mac OS X brought in by late this year or next year.
