Apple TV vs. Roku Specs and Reveals: Which will Emerge as the Best Streaming Box, as they are Neck and Neck?
At the moment, Roku and Apple TV are fighting for supremacy over the best video streaming box awards. Apple may have the backing of being a tech giant, but Roku is also a worthy adversary. They are both amazing and offer incentives of their own contexts. The Roku media streaming stick has been developed with high definition multimedia interface compatibility which makes just as much of a threat in the market. It is also packed with more than a thousand apps. The streaming stick for Roku is about the size of a thumb drive which makes it applicable for any available contemporary television set.
Apple on the other hand, is quite a respectable brand so they have that on their side. Every time that they release a product into the market, even when the people that do not exactly know about it, they are compelled to invest as much as needed to acquire, for simple curiosity if for nothing else, because Apple has proved to be a brand that will not let you down.
As for the design features, the Roku media streaming stick measures about 3.1 inches x 1.1 inches x 0.5 inches and weighs estimated 18 grams. The device comes available with a 6-foot-long micro USB cable as well as a power adapter. The good thing with the Roku media streaming stick is that it can consume less than 2W of power wattage. The device also comes available with wireless dual band N antennas and faster Wi-Fi connectivity. At the same time, the hardware runs quite silently. The apple TV device is much more bulky measuring about 23mm in length, 98mm in width, and 98mm thick and 270 grams. The gadget features an Ethernet port, HDMI and an optical audio port. The device price is about $99 and can be controlled via remote which has few buttons. The Roku streaming stick is also $99 from the Roku site online. It seems to be much more portable and features just as many high end features as the Apple TV device.
