Nowadays it seems like everywhere you turn there is something birthed in Stan Lee's mind. Marvel is having a very good year , fresh off the successes of Captain America and Guardians Of The Galaxy , the release of Spiderman 3 , the up -coming Avengers and Ant man and now Agents of Shield season 2 that had such a good first season that on May 8^th,2014 ABC and Marvel Television announced it will be renewed for a second season. On Tuesday September 23^rd, 2014 the agents of Shield shall be making a comeback.

The series is set in the Marvel Universe that is riddles with all sorts of superheroes, supernatural occurrences and villains to make your head spin. The series shares continuity with the movies, picking up where the first Avengers movie left off; with Clark Gregg playing agent Coulson just like in the movies which is important to fans considering the rate at which Marvel is churning out movies. The series picked up a critics choice award for Most Exciting New Series.

Season one ended with enemy agents infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) and agent Coulson is expected to rebuild shield in season two as the new director and shall be facing tough decisions. It is unclear who shall be leaving but Kyle MacLachlan known from his appearance in Desperate housewives, Lucy Lawless from Xena and Joss Whedon who shall be playing agent Grant; shall be joining the cast .An old face shall be making a comeback in the form of Agent Maria Hill who was present in the first episode , helping S.H.I.E.L.D take down Hydra but works for Tony Stark A.K.A Ironman. Whether she will become and remain a S.H.I.E.L.D agent we shall have to wait and find out when season 2 starts in September.
