Inferno Movie Release Date, Release Date, and Spoilers: Davis Koepp and Tom hanks from the Previous Installments to Come Back for Latest One
Dan Brown just keeps at it and Tom Hanks keep coming back to reprise his role as Robert Langdon. Imagine pictures hit the jackpot with Da Vinci's Code grossing more than 111 million dollars in its first week and ultimately making 758 million dollars worldwide. Feeling confident, no doubt, they expected Angels and Demons to do just as well unfortunately it wasn't one of Mr. Brown's more famous books and got slightly over half what its predecessor made. As for the lost symbol, the third book in the series, it was not even considered for movie treatment. So Sony might be taking a risk with Inferno, well, maybe not. The plot is refreshing and exciting and reminiscent of Mr. Brown's writing in The Da Vinci Code and may just return the franchise to its original glory. Coming out on December 18th 2015, Sony has over a year to make it perfect.
If David Koepp does not deviate too much from the plot, this instalment should start with Mr. Langdon in hospital with slight amnesia, a helpful female doctor by his side and a map of hell in his pocket. The American doctor is in Europe, of course, despite his last memory being of waking up in Harvard. What follows is an adventure through the streets of Florence taking us to religious landmarks and art relics that, of course exist, in true Dan Brown fashion. The book was a raging success staying at the top of the New York Best Sellers list for eleven weeks after its release.
All we know about the production crew is that David Koepp who wrote the screenplays for the previous two movies in the franchise shall be staying on. Ron Howard who directed the previous two may not be coming back which may affect the flow of the story, but maybe not. Tom Hanks shall be definitely coming back as Professor Langdon. So now we wait for December 2015 to see what Sony has in store for us.
