Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Reviews, Teasers and Spoilers: Eva Green to Play Miss Peregrine in Mysterious Supernatural Flick
It has been quite a while since we watched something from Tim Burton. The long wait is finally over because on March 4th, 2016 the award winning director of the weird shall be coming back with the movie Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. This movie is based on a book by the same name written by first time author Ransom Riggs. The book which was originally meant to be a picture book was on the New York Times Best Seller list for 45 weeks before finally getting to number one. The book itself is quite haunting and the so we expect the Sweeney Todd director to deliver quite efficiently.
After his grandfather is murdered by what he feels is an imaginary creature, sixteen year old Jacob Portman goes to Wales to find out the truth about his grandfather's childhood. This leads him to a home on an island that is for peculiar children. Here he meets a girl who takes him back to 1940 in a time loop to meet Miss Peregrine. In this time loop Jacob is able to see these mysterious animals called 'hollows' that are killing people (and we suspect killed his grandfather) The adventure that ensues has him fight off these hollows at the cost of the humanity of Miss Peregrine who is irreversibly turned into a bird.
20th Century fox bought the film has rights to the story and shall begin production in February of 2015. Screen writer Jane Goldman known for movies like Kick Ass and X-Men: First Class shall be working with Tim Burton to bring Mr. Ransom Riggs' novel to life. All we know about the cast is Eva Green has been cast to play Miss Peregrine. The Casino Royale and 300: Rise of an Empire actor shall not be new to this genre shall not be new to this genre as she currently acts as Vanessa Ives in the horror series Penny Dreadful. Judging from the number of awards on his shelf we know that Tim Burton shall present a movie for the ages on March 4th, 2016.
