Community Season 6 Release Date, Spoilers, Reveals; Production to Change from NBC to Sony Under Yahoo
Few things were more pleasurable than seeing the return of Chevy Chase in Community in 2009. The one of a kind comedy had been facing threat after threat and after their fifth season was scrapped by NBC. Fans everywhere were devastated. Nobody had really had enough and we all felt there was still some story left in the cast. Clearly so did Yahoo, Yahoo Screen picked up the sitcom but kept everybody on so as not to spoil with the amazing dynamics the team already had. According to word on the street we will have to wait until Christmas to see the team from Greendale again.
We can only imagine what the new season will bring. Fans can look forward to the usual Jeff-isms, riling up the group and giving two minute long monologues about cafeteria food or something. Shall there be a return of Troy? Or shall Abed have to find a new sidekick? And most importantly will Britta finally find happiness? There is so much to look forward to from the cast and writers and now that they are under a new umbrella we look forward to seeing how far the writers are willing to go.
The cast and crew remain the same, with production changing hands from NBC to Sony under Yahoo screen. Dan Harmon, Chris McKenna, Russ Kranoff and Gary Foster remains with his baby shall be moving with their baby to Yahoo Screen. Joel McHale was quoted as saying that he went into the show with the intent of seeing to the end and apparently was instrumental in keeping it alive. In addition to the thirteen episodes there are also rumors of a movie in production so we haven't seen the end of community. Featured extra John Oliver has his own talk show now and we hope the fame will not have gone to his head, we expect the same brand of English wit as before in addition to his relentless Britta chasing as Dr. Ian Duncan. Whatever they have in store we cannot wait to see the Greendale Human Beings again.
