New Shows Coming in Fall 2014, Reveals, Rumors and Plot: Fresh Off The Boat, My Fair Lady and How to Get Away Coming Soon
The thing about T.V is that with the exit of some shows there is the entrance of new ones. There are people pitching ideas to Network executives every day. Here are three new shows to look out for in Spring of 2014. Shonda Rhimes is some kind of T.V guru with the success of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal. Shonda sold the concept for a legal drama titled How to Get Away with Murder to ABC on August 19TH of 2013. The show is about a law professor (played by Viola Davis) who becomes entwined in a murder plot alone with her students. The show will be taking up the Scandal slot as the show is on hiatus. Shonda Rhimes along with Betsy Beers shall be producing the show. Considering the success ShondaLand has been experiencing with its other shows this is definitely a show to look out for. The first episode is set to air on September 25th 2014.
If you remember the movie My Fair Lady, and very few people do, you will remember the British Woman with the cockney accent who becomes this polished lady at the hands of an English gentleman. ABC has decided to make a series loosely based on the movie called selfie. Like the weirdly catchy song the series is about a woman who seeks fame on social media including instagram (hence the name we suspect) till she decides to go out and make some actual friends. The show is set to premiere on September 30th, 2014.
Did you know that since 1994 there has not been an Asian-American sitcom? The long streak is set to come to an end in autumn 2014 with the show Fresh Off The Boat. The T.V series follows a Taiwanese family as they make their way from Washington D.C to Florida to open up a steak house. This happened in the 1990's and follows the kind of format that Everybody Hates Chris did. The series is loosely based on a book by the same title.
