Robocalypse Release Date: Steven Spielberg Robocalypse written by Daniel Wilson Delayed Due to Budget and Creative Issues?
We are all waiting for the coming film of Steven Spielberg after two wins from Oscar nomination. This upcoming movie Robocalypse is a sci-fi movie, but with some sort of financial and creative issues this project resulted to indefinite delay. And because of that, Spielberg circled a free collection of scripts and that includes a true-story drama entitled American Sniper and only recently was the West Side Story remake.
The Robocalypse film is actually a cinematic adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's book. The style of the movie is somewhat like a World War Z oral history. The story is like human defending the world from robot up-rise. Wilson got an idea from the script form of The Cabin in the Woods written by Drew Goddard. However, Goddard was not the one written the rewrite because he's been very busy as well in previous months due to the preparation of Marvel Studio's Daredevil, Netflix TV series. In addition to this, he's been also working with the script of Amazing Spider-Man, Sinister Six by Sony's Production which he will be directing as well.
The Variety's insider has been reporting a lot of things in connection to the current status of Robocalypse. And one of those reports says that Spielberg is not ready because he's not settled yet for the next directing project. However, there are some reports that leaked that sci-fi is a frontrunner. Some analyst said and from a great source said that one feasible scenario would be that Spielberg will going to shoot the Robocalypse and the jump into production of another aforementioned Montezuma- a historical drama even if the Robocalypse editing and effects are still going on. Hence, the release date of the said two films will be closer to each other.
