Evolve Release Date, Reviews, Reveals and Spoilers: Game Play Trailer Released at the Recently Concluded Gamescom
Evolve was actually published by 2K games and planned for an October release this year, but the title was postponed by Turtle Rock developers and the new release date for the game has been slated for January 15 2015. The other thing with the game is that it will be released exclusively on X Box One which does not sit particularly well with a lot of people who prefer the Play station 4 platforms. According to Microsoft, DLC for the title has also been made available for the title.
As a matter of fact, the fans seem to be quite excited about the game and it is probably because of the new form of game play that is being introduced with this upcoming installment. Apparently, it will feature a 4 against 1 formula where the 4 are high trained mercenaries that work as trackers and hunters, while the other side is a great monster with a variety of abilities depending on the evolution level. Both of the sides in the game are controlled by players and this is what increases the competition exponentially because it could end an infinite number of ways.
The Gamescom event that took place in Cologne, Germany recently revealed a trailer of some of the game play. The video illustrated the 4 players who are divided by classes as Lazarus the medic, Hyde the assault, Hank the Support and Griffin the trapper. The players fight against a Kraken monster which has the ability to fly as well as breathe fire. The player has the choice of any one of the four options but there is a corresponding level of difficulty assigned to each one. Fighting a large beast controlled by a similarly intelligent player is not the only thing the players have to contend. After all, four against one is not a fair fight. They will also have a number of environmental deterrents and obstacles to slow them down in an alien planet where the setting is apparently.
