If you are into comedies then you remember the classic that was 30 Rock. If you remember 30 Rock then you know how amazing Tina Fey was in it and what a talented comedic writer she is. When 30 Rock ended a lot of Tina Fey fans had to contend with reruns and old You Tube videos of Emmy acceptance speeches. Because NBC has its Fans at heart Tina Fey is back! Well not in front of the camera but as the producer and co-writer of the new show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The show is set to premier in Spring of 2015 with a 13 episode first season.

The series is about a woman who is rescued doomsday cult after 15 years and was originally set to be called Tooken. Kimmy Schmidt, the rescued damsel armed with a little recue money and sets out to try and make it in New York City. New York isn't generally known as the easiest and friendliest city to live in so you can imagine what it must be like for this girl who was stuck in a cult in Indiana for fifteen years. She gets a job as a nanny, this is interesting because who would hire a former cult member to look after their baby? Jenna! That's who! Okay not Jenna but Jane Krakowski who played Jenna in 30 Rock so she's played crazy before.

Elli Kemper known for her work in The Office, 21 Jump Street and the Mindy Project shall be playing the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. This is wonderful casting because this actress has a very innocent and fresh face and perfected the art of looking clueless in The Office. Other people in the cast are Titus Burgess who plays a gay singer who also works as a robot in Times square, Sara Chase who is Kimmy's best friend from the cult, Dylan Gelula plays Xanthippe (yes, that's a name) who plays Jane Krakowski's stepdaughter and Lauren Adams plays Gretchen a 10 year member of the cult. The plot seems sound, the writers are top notch and the actors are pure pedigree, there is no way this could go wrong. All we have to do is wait until Spring and get that feeling 30 Rock used to give us.
