Pre-Order Smalltown Poets' Christmas Album via their PledgeMusic Campaign
Contemporary Christian pop-rock band Smalltown Poets has recently recorded their second Christmas album. They plan on releasing it in late November this year. The band has just launched PledgeMusic campaign to raise funds for the project and to offer pre-order options to fans.
This is what Smalltown Poets has to say about the project: "So the big news is that we're making a new Christmas record! Through this whole new paradigm of PledgeMusic, artists and fans can come together in the creation process. This fresh take on making a record allows fans to preorder new releases from bands they love. It also allows us to invite you to be part of the journey more than ever before. As you make a pledge to pre-order the album you help our recording budget grow. We get to plan more studio time, record more music, and give you special Smalltown Poets experiences and behind the scenes access to the creation process that is not available to anyone else. We've started making something special, but we can't get to the finish line without our extended Smalltown Poets family coming together to help make it with us."
Smalltown Poets came to the music scene in 1997 with their Grammy-nominated self-titled debut on Ardent/Forefront (EMI). This was followed by two more albums with the Memphis based label. Three number one singles and a total of ten top ten radio hits helped garner two Best Rock Gospel Grammy nominations, seven Dove Award nominations (including best new artist) and a Billboard Music video award for the band. Their song "Anything Genuine" was featured on the platinum selling WOW 1999 compilation. In 2004 the band released It's Later Than It's Ever Been on BEC.
The guys ended a 7-year hiatus from touring and recording in 2011. Over a year in the making, Smalltown Poets Christmas was released November 1st of that year, with their single "Good Christian Men Rejoice" reaching Billboard's Top 25 songs on Christian radio. Over the two holiday seasons since its release, the band has performed dozens of Christmas concerts across the U.S., in places like Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Charlotte, and many more.
5% of the funds raised through their PledgeMusic program goes to World Vision. Visit http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/smalltownpoets to see how you can contribute!
