Winds of Winter Release Date, Reveals, Review and Plot: The Fate of Tyron is not yet Known as per the Script
According to the latest reports, there is still no clear release date for the Winds of winter as it seems that George R. R. Martin is still in the process of writing the novel. He recently spoke to the Digital Spy about the writing process and he said that he does not know when he is going to finish the next. He claims that at this time he is focusing all of his energy towards the book and the fans should expect it any time from now.
Tyron is a fan favorite and if he was killed off it would leave a lot of the fans quite shocked and disappointed. On the other hand, there are a lot of rumors which are going that way at the present. George R. R. Martin defended the script saying that Tyron is in fact one of his favorite characters as well. In statement that he gave to live journal, "Tyrion is my favorite character," Martin wrote. "Okay? OKAY? Can we PLEASE put that one to rest?? I love all my viewpoint characters, Arya and Sansa and Bran, Jon Snow and Brienne, Arianne and Cersei and Jaime, Theon, even Victarion and the Damphair, ALL of them, but I love Tyrion the bestest."
He claimed that Tyron's character is the easiest to write about and that sometimes it does take a bit of time to come up with the one liners that Tyron is famous for. In fact, he claimed that he wishes sometimes that he was a bit like the role in real life. When he was asked about whether Tyron would be killed off from the script, he was a bit evasive saying that he liked the script to be quite unpredictable. On the one hand, he could be anticipating the audience's expectation to remove the Tyron role and go the other way, but you never know what he will do. According to George R. R. Martin, the writing process has nothing to do with the future of "Game of Thrones on HBO".
