Aquarius Reveals, News and Review and Plot: Created from the Makers of Jericho and In Plain Sight, NBC Brings you Aquarius
Remember how Charles Manson used to be such a big deal? Well if NBC get their way then he will be a big deal again. Not the weird white guy with the swastika on his head behind the bulletproof glass we love to hate but who he was before it all. Created by John McNamara known for his work on Jericho, Loise and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and In Plain Sight, the show is set to air during the Autumn-Winter season on NBC although a fixed airing date and time has not been set as at yet although judging from the plot it is bound to get a premium slot.
The series is set in 1967, the very best and very heart of the years of the flower power, drum circles and LSD are everywhere. Hippies are demonstrating about the Vietnam War, Forest Gump and Bubba are walking in the rain somewhere and Lyndon B. Johnson is president. A respected lawyer's teenage daughter goes missing and doesn't turn up in any of the local drum circles. So LA police Sergeant Sam Hodiak starts asking around. Naturally the local hippies did not take too kindly to his line of questioning especially because of his shirt hair and his very un-hippie like demeanor. So our hero, realizing that he will catch more bees with honey than with salt, seeks the help of an undercover cop who looks more hippie like than him. The two follow Alice down the rabbit hole to a young charismatic cult leader who has a way with the ladies. The man we have all come to know as Charles Manson.
David Duchovny best known for his work on X-files and Californication shall be taking up the role of Sergeant Sam Hodiak. That alone should be an indicator of how good this series can be. Gethin Anthony whom we all know as Renly Baratheon in Game of Thrones shall know be our new Charles Manson. Other people coming to the series are: Grey Damon, Emma Dumont, Claire Holt, Tara Lynne Barr and Michaela Mc Manus. Judging from the line up and the plot this is definitely a show to keep on your radar.
