Pitch Perfect 2 Release Date, Plot, Reveals and Review: More Singing and Drama, and Increased Cast Size

The release date for Pitch Perfect 2 has been slated for March 2015. It seems that the smash success of the first movie was quite a surprise for the cast and the crew of the movie. This is because the movie had a relatively low budget.  At the same time, the story line followed an unconventional, but light hearted take on the world of competitive acapella singing. As such, since the second installment of the movie was announced, there has seen a lot of speculation regarding the movie plots and leaks and release reviews of what is to come at the release date.

So far it seems that executive producer and director Elizabeth Banks has been keeping mum about the plot and the reveals of the movie. However, she hinted that the film is going to revolve around the senior year of Barden Bellas. During a recent interview with Teen Vogue, one of the cast members, Ben Platt, who plays Benji Applebaum have given some information on what we should expect in the coming sequels. Apparently Pitch Perfect 2 s about the Bellas and what is going to happen to them as they get older. All of the original stars of the movie are coming back but this time it is going to even better with the addition of a few more cast members.

"Chrissie Fit was great and Hailee Steinfeld is such a pro -- she fit right in. I had no idea she was 17! She's the most mature girl ever. I did most of my scene work with her." Platt said. The cast members for the second installment of the movie are going to include Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Ben Platt, Skylar Astin and Anna Kendrick. One of the new cast members for the second installment of the movie is Academy award nominee Hailee Steinfeld. The cast of the second installment should be slightly more mature as such.
