If you are into old timey series' then you know about the MGM television series of the same name that aired in 1964. The movie has been branded a sci-fi action adventure comedy and is expected to come to theatres on August 14th of 2015. The 75 million dollar movie project has been entrusted to Guy Ritchie to direct. Apart from being known as the man Madonna was once married to Mr. Ritchie is known for directing Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Sherlock Holmes (2009). The man from U.N.C.L.E shall be distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment for Big Kid Pictures and Davis Entertainment.
The movie is set in the amazing age that was the1960's, the hippies had taken over the world and the cold war was at its peak. There is an agency called U.N.C.L.E and two of its agents, Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin are sent on a mission to stop a mysterious international criminal. This criminal is bent on destabilizing the already fragile relationship between the world powers by building nuclear weapons. The only lead these two have is the daughter of a vanished German scientist. Okay, I agree with you that this already sounds like the plot of a Bond movie you watched sometime but let me remind you that this is a duo and not a martini drinking super agent. Otherwise it should generally be the same, with a touch of comedy.
Henry Cavill whom we now know as the new superman shall be taking up the role of Napoleon Solo with Armie Hammer taking up the role of Illya Kuryakin. Other names joining the cast list are Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Debicki, Alicia Vikander, Jarid Harris and Luca Calvani. George Clooney was meant to star in the movie but later dropped out due to a back injury. It was also originally meant to be directed by Steven Soderbergh but after a lot of back and forth with Warner Brother's he dropped out and was later replaced by Guy Ritchie.
