Sunset Overdrive Game Release Date, Reveals, Updates, Rumors, Plot and Reviews: Developed by Insomniac Games, Release Date Slated for October 28, 2014
Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Microsoft Studios, Sunset Overdrive is an epic game entering the gaming world for the very first time. It is developed for one Xbox One console only. The action third person game consists of both single and co-operative player modes of play and is set for to be released on October 28, 2014, in America and October 31 of the same year in Europe. Even before its release, the game has already won IGN's Best of E3 2014 Awards for the best action game 2014.
The game was originally conceived by Drew Murray and Marcus Smith while completing their work on Resistance 3 after which the shared the idea with the CEO of Insomniac Games, Ted Price, who would give the final word on whether or not the game would be created. The game borrows its inspiration from different sections of the world as it follows work by different counties. Examples of past work from where the game draws inspiration include Hyenas of Kenya, Tank Girl comics, the novel I Am Legend and British television series The Yong Ones. Even though they failed to generate interest in their first presentation of the game and were told to come back after a week they used this time to develop the game further and make it a lot more interesting so as to rock the second presentation which they did.
To enable easy feedback and ideas such as internet memes, social commentary and also easy weapon update in the game, the game is expected to use Microsoft's cloud computing. Also as a way of marketing the game, Microsoft included copies of the games in a white Kinect-less Xbox One bundle for US$399. The game remains amongst the top most anticipated games of 2014 not only for the great adventure and epic storyline, but also because of the great Microsoft history in creating marvellous games.
