The Martian Release Date, Reveals, News, Rumors, Plot and Reviews: Movie Picked for Adaptation in 2013 and Set for November 25th 2015

There are few things better than a good sc-fi movie. As such, 2015 seems to be the year of the movie based on the book, not to be left out of the great race 20^th Century have taken the novel written by Andy Weir and give it a movie treatment. Ridley Scott has been trusted with the task of directing this work. Mr. Scott is known for his above average work con movies like American Gangster, Hannibal, Blade Runner and Prometheus. He is certainly no stranger to sci-fi and is a great choice to direct the movie. The movie was picked for adaptation in 2013 and is set for a November 25^th 2015 release.

An astronaut; Mark Watney is left stranded on Mars when he is left by his crewmates who believe he is dead because of damage caused to his EVA suit during a dust storm. Not one to sit down and await his impending doom, Mark sets out to try and make the best of his situation. He finds a way to grow potatoes in the NASA habitat on the planet; he also begins to write a log for future astronauts who will undoubtedly find his body. NASA finds out he is alive and finds a way to communicate with him. A plan is written out to save him from the red planet that is plagued with its own misfortunes but in the end Watney is re united with his cremates.

Matt Damon is set to take up the role of astronaut Mark Wattney. Jessica Chastain has also been pegged to play a female lead which has to be Melisa Lewis who is Wattney's Commander. The story is one of a kid and it is hard to imagine that Mr. Weir had to publish the book himself before Crown Publishers picked it up. Weur fans are undoubtedly waiting to see how well Mr. Scott will do to bring one of history's best written characters to life.
