The Jungle Book Movie Release Date, Reveals, Teasers, Rumors and Updates: Disney to Release Adaptation in 2015 while Warner Bros Releases theirs in 2016
Warner Brother's and Disney seem to be in some kind of race to release an adaptation of this famous book. Warner Bros. is releasing The Jungle Book: Origins on October 21st 2016 while Disney is releasing their adaptation on October 21st of 2015. This article is about the Disney version although we will definitely speak about the Warner Bros. flick soon. The Jungle book is a collection of stories written by Rudyard Kippling for his daughter which was first published in 1894. While there are a number of stories whenever people speak of the Jungle book they are usually referring to the story Mowgli's Brothers about a young baby left in the Indian jungle and raised by wolves and a bear. Alesser known fact is that another very famous childhood story Rikki Tikki Tavi also comes from this collection.
A pair of Indian wolves are laying in their den feeding their new litter worrying about a Tiger that's hunting in their part of the jungle, you know, normal wolf stuff; when in crawls a little naked human boy. Mama Wolf decides she will raise this little hairless thing a resolve sealed when Shere Khan, the tiger, comes claiming the boy for is meal. The bear Baloo speaks for the boy at the next wolf pack meeting and alongside Bangheera the panther set out to educate the boy. Mowgli grows up and ends up defending the jungle animals against Shere Khan who simply want to eat and fight every animal in th jungle. The story ends with Mowgli leaving the jungle to live among his own kind with the promise that he will one day lay Shere Khan's hide at the council Rock.
The book has been adapted over and over again with the characters appearing together or separately in several Disney animations. The 2015 Disney version is set to be a live action/CGI adaption with Jon Favereau is set to direct. Bill Murray is voicing Baloo with Neel Sethi playing Mowgli. Idris Elba with his amazing English accent is set to voice Shere Khan and Ben Kingsley shall be voicing Bangheera. Lupita Nyong'o is set to voice Raksha (mama wolf).
