'NCIS New Orleans' Plot and Casts: 'NCIS New Orleans' Started the Season With a Blast
The "NCIS New Orleans" release date of its season premiere was last September 23, Tuesday. The story starts with a very engaging crime that needs to be solved. According to Entertainment Weekly, "NCIS: New Orleans starts off with a great episode showing its characters' emotional depth right off the bat."
The first episode of "NCIS New Orleans" started with a particular body part - half a leg to be precise. Besides the leg, a Navy issued boot was also found.
Since the crime or victim might be Navy related, an NCIS team was dispatched to investigate.
Here's the NCIS New Orleans Cast, based on Wikipedia:
Heading the investigating team is Dwayne Cassius "King" Pride (Scott Bakula). He is also the Agent in charge of the "NCIS New Orleans" office. Part of his team includes Meredith "Merri" Brody (Zoe McLellan) and Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black). Helping the NCIS team in autopsies and forensics is Medical Examiner Doctor Loretta Wade (C.C.H. Pounder).
The first episode focuses on the murder investigation of Calvin Barks, a Navy sailor. Pride and his team had confirmed the identity of the leg after finding the rest of Calvin's body. A gang tattoo on the victim's body seems to suggest that his death is gang related. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the gang tattoo was a fake. Pride suspects that local Councilman Hamilton (Steven Weber) had a hand in the murder of Calvin Barks. However, he lacks the evidence that will link the councilman to the murder.
"NCIS New Orleans" is the third television series of NCIS franchise. The other two franchises include NCIS (The Original) and NCIS Los Angeles. In Season 11 of NCIS the New Orleans team were introduce in their two succeeding crossover, episodes 18 and 19.
