'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers: Season Finale Will Have 13 Episodes

Rumors had it that the police procedural drama "The Mentalist" is on its way to filming their season finale. According to the star Tim Kang's (playing as Kimball Cho) tweet last September 14, which reads "This is our 7^th and final season, looking at the scripts now, it's so fun and such a great season!" the series is about to wrap up. However, fans of Thomas Jane and Theresa Lisbon are wondering if they would be settling down together or be taking on their separate lives for good.

The series' season finale will have 13 episodes. The first episode is allegedly given a title of "Green light." According to TVLine, actress Jessie Loren will be playing the role of Michelle Vega as the rookie but highly skilled FBI Agent and will be the strong rival of Lisbon for Jane's love. It remains to be seen if Patrick and Teresa are willing to take it to the next level after his confession of love for her before she got a plane ticket boarding to Washington.

On the other hand, Simon Baker, aside from the being one of the producers of the show, has returned to the director's chair to direct two episodes, one is the 7^th episode dubbed as "Silver briefcase". Series' creator Bruno Heller shared some information about the ongoing filming of the finale, ""The pleasures of the show rests in the byplay between Robin and Simon. Getting rid of Red John allowed us to focus on that human aspect of the show. Red John, as it turns out, was a convenience for Jane because it meant Jane and he didn't have to confront the rest of his life and what he's doing."

"This is a popular show. It's meant for the people. We have tried to make a finale to the season that will please and engage and fill our core audience," he continues.

The fans are already anticipating for this season that Jane and Lisbon will end up togehter. In addition, there also might be a blooming love interest for Cho as well.

The 7^th Season of "The Mentalist" will premiere by early 2015.
