The new social network Ello is Facebook's newest competitor. In fact, the company is describing itself as "anti-Facebook." Ello was introduced a year ago and already it is competing with Facebook.

Ello claims that advertising can affect the social network experience, as the privacy issues. It rather interrupts the stable social network system with unnecessary ads. Ello was brought on invitation-only basis where the invitation had seen massive demand and sold at price up to $500 at eBay. Many think the secret behind Ello's success lies between the company policies. The company managed the pick the weak points of Facebook and deviated from these.  This attracted many users from Facebook towards them.

From the sales report, it has been recorded that last week Ello managed to get over 35,000 requests every hour. While Facebook is thinking to enlarge the advertisement market by adding latest marketing and advertisement feature "Atlas" Ello greatly criticize the advertisement in social networking site. According to the company, users are not products and it is not their motive to sell data of users to third party. The idea of advertisement is creepy and unethical according to the Ello Company.

According to Ello's collaborator, Aral Balkan it took almost $435,000 of capital funding to build Ello. Therefore, it is not still clear that Ello will bring premium or other packages for users. No matter how promising Ello is, with these financials, will it be able to keep the pace of success with their policy?

The answer to this question remains to be seen. According to the company, it takes a lot to manage a social network site with human power. Every person working for on are giving their best effort to make this project a successful one. The company believes that the day is not far when Ello will dominate. This early in the game, the company already earned massive amount of fans. It will not be surprising if it does dominate the market soon.
