The iPhone 6 release date in china has remained elusive, but new reports suggest the new Apple handsets that have been plagued by regulatory issues will finally get approval on Oct. 1 and go on sale shortly after. According to a memo obtained by Tehweb, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in China on Friday, Oct. 10 with Apple's retail staff receiving their training material on October 7.

Apple sold about 2.75 million iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c handsets in China during their launch last year. Taking that figure into account, Apple actually enjoyed tremendous 60% on year growth during the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus' debut weekend. And now, following rumors that Apple's new iPhones might not launch in China until early next year, it appears as though the new devices will debut in China much sooner than expected.

According to the sources iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be released in China on October 10th, less than 10 days from today. China's Minister of Industry Miao Wei said that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were entering the final stages of the approval process. Also of note, the press in China has independently reported that Apple's new iPhones will be released on the 10th of October. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are expected to sell for ¥5,288 ($863) and ¥6,288 ($1,026) respectively, putting the price of the 4.7-inch handset on par with last year's iPhone 5s in China.

According to the New York Times, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are expected to get final license before China's National Day celebrations on Oct. 1 with the new Apple devices going on sale a few weeks later. However, Reuters previously reported that sales for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China "could theoretically begins as soon as they are approved." While it's still up in the air when the iPhone 6 release date will be coming to China, it's looking like it'll be coming soon.
