The Seventh Son Release, News, Reveals and Rumors: Cast and Extra Plot Updates have been Provided for the Movie
The tagline for a new poster for the upcoming fantasy adventure is "When darkness falls, the son will rise." This can only mean be referring to the mythology of the movie which suggests that the presence of evil activates the knights of good who will be led by a jaded warrior played by Jeff Bridges. In a time of enchantments when legends and magic collide, Jeff Bridges plays the remaining warrior, travels to find a prophesied hero with incredible powers that even he knows nothing about. As such, Jeff's mission is to train a young farmer's son who has no connection to the world of the supernatural except that he is a seventh son of a seventh son. These are a group of people that have been chosen to counter the forces of evil and protect humanity.
As such, the farmhand finds himself torn from his quiet life as a farmhand and goes on a daring adventure with his battle-hardened mentor in order to vanquish the ultimate evil. This represents itself in a dark lord that Bridges imprisoned but has found himself back to the land of the living. The dark queen is played by Julianne Moore and she has enlisted the help of some supernatural assassins to wreak havoc upon the world of the humans.
The cast of the movie is going to include, Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Alicia Vikander, Julianne Moore, Kit Harrington, Olivia Williams, Djimon Hounsou and Antje Traue. The movie is based upon a book titled "The Spook's Apprentice" written by Joseph Delaney. The movie is directed by award winning movie maker Sergei Bodrov. He is famous for "Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan" and "Prisoner of the Mountains." The movie is distributed by Universal International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
